Can Roof Rejuvenation Increase Roof Lifespan?
This deserves a careful answer rather than a marketing one, because the honest version is more useful to you.
The mechanism
Shingles fail in large part because the asphalt dries out and loses flexibility. A rejuvenation treatment is formulated to restore flexibility to shingles that are still intact. Where that works, the shingle is better able to handle the thermal cycling that would otherwise crack it.
What we will and won't claim
We will not promise a specific number of added years on your roof — nobody honestly can, because outcomes depend on the roof's starting condition, ventilation, exposure and future weather. What we will do is tell you whether your shingles are in the condition where treatment is appropriate, and share the manufacturer's published performance and warranty terms so you can evaluate them yourself.
It's maintenance, not a reset
Rejuvenation extends the useful life of shingles you already own. It does not make an old roof new, and every asphalt roof is eventually replaced. Treatments are generally intended to be reapplied periodically rather than done once.
When it's worth it
