Can I walk on my roof after rejuvenation?
Short answer
Stay off the roof until the treatment has fully cured — we'll give you the exact window for the product used, and it's typically a matter of hours to a day depending on temperature and humidity. Walking on a freshly treated roof can mark the surface and is a slip hazard.
What cure time depends on
- Air temperature and humidity on the day
- Sun exposure on each slope
- How absorbent the shingles were to begin with
What you may notice afterward
Treated shingles often look slightly darker and more uniform at first, and that appearance evens out over the following weeks. A faint odor during application is normal and dissipates quickly.
