Rejuvenation Basics

Is roof rejuvenation safe for plants, pets and gutters?

Short answer

The treatments we use are bio-based and applied with landscaping, walkways and downspouts protected during the work. Keep pets and children indoors while the crew is on site and until the treatment has cured, the same as you would for any exterior work.

How the site is protected

  • Plantings and shrubs beneath the eaves are covered before spraying
  • Downspouts are managed so runoff doesn't reach garden beds
  • Walkways, decks and vehicles nearby are covered or moved
  • The site is walked and cleaned before we leave

Pets and family on the day

Plan on keeping pets inside while the crew works, and keep kids off the driveway and out from under the eaves. Once the treatment has cured, normal use resumes.

Ask for the product data

Any company treating your roof should be able to hand you the product's safety data sheet on request. If they can't tell you what they're spraying on your house, that's the answer to a different question.

2-minute self-check

This won't replace an on-roof inspection, but your answers shape the recommendation you'll get at the end — including when rejuvenation isn't the right call. "Not sure" is a fine answer.

  1. 1.Is your roof roughly 8–25 years old?

  2. 2.Do you have any active leaks or interior water stains?

  3. 3.Are there shingles missing, cracked through, or hard-curled in sections?

  4. 4.Do you see granules collecting in gutters, or fading and dry-looking shingles?

  5. 5.Do any roof planes sag, or does the decking feel soft?

  6. 6.Does the roof have more than one layer of shingles?
